Homely Accommodation

Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast, est. 2004, offers affordable and homely accommodation, with a warm welcome. Situated on the  travellers' main  road, en route to both Cape Reinga north and to the Bay of Islands/Paihia south, Magnolia House provides you with a pleasant place for an overnight stay or as a mid-way focal point for several days stay in the north.

Bungalows

The bed and breakfast bungalows are set on a 5 acre property - 2 acres of organic sweet-eating table grapes, and 3 acres of lawns, gardens and a bistro. They allow our guests privacy and independence. The gardens provide a lovely setting for meals, reading, meditating or catching up on an afternoon nap under the canopy of trees.

Cabins

The two cabins sleep 2-4 guests, and share a toilet/shower facility. There is also a self-contained cabin with twin beds, ensuite, and kitchenette. All cabins have their own balconies. There is a bbq for guests' use. All cabins have linen and bath towels.

Breakfast

Your Hosts

Allan Baker and Cedar Corban take pride and pleasure in ensuring your stay is memorable. Allan, potter and tour guide, will happily advise guests on local activities and sights. Cedar, caterer and cookbook author, will chat about her gourmet food and wine tours, her cooking workshops, and the culinary hospitality she serves in her bistro. Her cookbook collection is available for browsing through and gleaning recipes from.
