Are you weary and looking for the perfect place to stay and relax and use as a base to explore the beautiful Bay of Islands and Northland? Then give yourselves a treat and experience the Avalon spirit in one of our luxury cottages or apartments in a beautiful native setting.

Based on the legend of the mythical “Island of Avalon” our luxury private cottages offer you the best of both worlds. Situated in a small valley, on a short stroll to shops, cafés and restaurants in Kerikeri, Avalon is your perfect sanctuary surrounded by beautiful spring-fed streams, waterfalls, big ponds and native plants and bush.

Cottage with Character

Avalon offers 4 spacious, luxury self-contained cottages (breakfast on request), each with a different décor, and a guest apartment (2 persons). The one-bedroom cottages can sleep up to 4 guests and have a big lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and fridge. They also have a private modern bathroom with bath and shower.

The timber flooring, pine cladding and quality teakwood furniture with super king size beds add to the character of the cottage. They all have TV, a DVD player and free internet broadband (or wireless) access. Laptops are available.

Your private covered deck and garden with sun loungers overlook the valley, golf course and Puketotora River. Our cottages are build in 2007 and rated 4 plus by Qualmark.

Property with Water Gardens

Our big 7 acre property (2.7 ha.) ensure you lots of space, privacy and safe off road parking. Discover the orchard and the springs. Meet our small animals, the lush green environment and landscaped watergardens make the perfect setting for a great relaxing stay.

The beautiful Puketotora river meanders through the resort, ideal for swimming, kayaking or fishing. Kayaks are freely available.

The Personal Touch

Although the cottages are self-contained, the hosts will be on site to assist and make your stay a truly magical experience. The office will provide services like printing and faxing, free information about the Bay of Islands / Northland area and booking facilities.

A small library with books and DVD’s is available at no extra cost. Families are welcome. Your cottage or apartment also comes with welcome drinks and will be serviced daily.
